Dr. John-Stewart's research is focused on HIV-1 and is based in Kenya. This includes research on mother-to-child transmission of HIV-1, breastmilk HIV-1 transmission, HIV-1 treatment, pediatric HIV-1, HIV-1 in women, immune and viral correlates of HIV-1 transmission and progression, and co-infections in HIV-1.
