University of Western Ontario Health Sciences Bachelor of Health Sciences Program Assistant ProfessorAppointed: 2002 | |
QualificationsPh.D., University of Western Ontario, Psychology, 2001. M.A., University of Western Ontario, Psychology, 1996. B.A., University of Western Ontario, Psychology, 1994. Expertise and Research InterestsResearch:
My primary research program focuses on the measurement of human performance, specifically as it relates to information processing speed and neural efficiency. To this end, I have used both psychometric and chronometric tests of information processing speed (e.g. reaction time, inspection time, general perceptual speed) in healthy participants, and (more recently) individuals afflicted with Parkinson's disease.
My secondary area of expertise is research methodology and psychometrics, broadly defined. While this generally involves the examination of principles and applications of evidence-based practice, I am also interested in the development and evaluation of standardized tests - both clinical and academic.
