Expertise and Research Interests

Computers for statistical research and data analysis, and am involved in the design of user interfaces for making this job more efficient. Tasks of recent focus include novel tools for exploring the human/computing interface for data analysis, and the exploration of literate programming for data analysis (literate statistical analysis).

HIV vaccine trials design, immunology, sequence analysis, and Phase I/II trials design and analysis.

Vascular biology, especially genomic factors in plaque formation

Bioinformatics in general, and statistical methods for large scale data aquisition technologies (gene expression, proteomics, flow cytometry). I am a core member of the Bioconductor project (http://www.bioconductor.org/).

PK/PD modeling and simulation in the context of clinical trials and drug development.
