Expertise and Research Interests

I am a co-principal investigator for Protein Ontology (PO) Project since 2003 along with Prof. Tharam S. Dillon and Prof. Elizabeth Chang. PO provides a unified vocabulary for capturing declarative knowledge about proteomics domain and for classifying that knowledge to allow reasoning. My research work in the fields of Biomedical Ontologies, Biological Data Management and Modeling, Structural Bioinformatics, Proteomics, and Artificial Intelligence resulted in over50 scientific publications since 2004. I am involved as an author or editor in 4 books in the areas of Bioinformatics and Data Mining, which are to be in published in 2007 and 2008. I am currently involved with many activities in biomedical and health informatics community.
