QualificationsPh.D., University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, 1993. M.S., University of Montreal, Statistics, 1988. B.S., University of Montreal, Mathematics, 1985. Expertise and Research InterestsMy main statistical methods research interests are: (1) developing methods for analysis of infectious diseases data, (2) developing between-host mathematical models of infectious disease transmission and (3) validation of trial designs using between-host mathematical models. The majority of my recent collaborative work has been in HIV prevention trials and cohort studies. I am involved as lead statistician on a variety of trials of microbicides as preventive vaginal gel agents for sexual transmission of HIV and the use of ART as a preventive agent for the transmission of HIV in serodiscordant couples. In this role, I collaborate extensively on protocol teams and provide expertise in study design and other aspects of study development, conduct, and analysis. In addition, I currently manage fourteen (14) Statistical Research Associates and part of the statistical activities at the Statistical Center for HIV/AIDS Research and Prevention (SCHARP) within the Public Health Division.
