Expertise and Research Interests

Clinical expertise: Primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease; CHD risk assessment; medication and lifestyle management.

Research expertise/interests: Presently co-investigator of 'A Couples Intervention for Cardiac Risk Reduction.' RFA funded by NHLBI, September 1999 to August 2003.

Future Research

I plan to conduct a study that evaluates the combination of medications and exercise on cardiovascular risk reduction in people with type 2 diabetes and hypertension.
