Expertise and Research InterestsThe investigation of psychosocial factors facilitating recovery from serious mental illness; longitudinal and qualitative research methods; development and evaluation of community-based clinical, rehabilitative, consumer-run, and mutual support/self-helpinterventions for people with psychiatric disabilities; and the development and evaluation of cognitive-behavioral treatment for schizophrenia.
Current projects are exploring the community adjustment of people with serious psychiatric disabilities, preventing relapse, rehospitalization, and chronicity for this population through community integration, and the role of peer support in facilitating recovery and community integration.
