QualificationsM.D., Yale University, 2010. Ph.D., Yale University, Neuroscience, 2009. M.Phil., Yale University, Neuroscience, 2007. B.S., University of Scranton, Neuroscience (minors: Biochemistry and Philosophy), Summa cum laude, 2003. Expertise and Research InterestsI completed my Ph.D. research in the laboratory of Hal Blumenfeld, M.D., Ph.D. at Yale, studying the widespread neocortical effects of limbic seizures in temporal lobe epilepsy. We utilized electrophysiological, neuroimaging, and behavioral techniques to study seizures in animal models. Afterwards, I completed a post-doctoral project in Dr. Blumenfeld's lab, correlating intracranial electroencephalography (EEG) signals and consciousness during seizures in temporal lobe epilepsy patients. Future ResearchI am interested in various areas of basic neuroscience and clinical neurosurgery, including functional neuroimaging, epilepsy, and stereotactic functional neurosurgery for movement and psychiatric disorders.
