Development of multi-nuclear, multi-dimensional NMR techniques and instrumentation for structural and functional studies of biologically important molecules - including antibiotics tobramycin, bleomycin and actinomycin and proteins, ferredoxin, adenylate kinase and cytomegalovirus peptidase

I attended summer shortcourses for college teachers: Energy Sources and the Environment, 1975 University of California-Berkeley; and Radioisotopes in Biology, ArgonneNational Laboratory, 1976.

I have obtained certification for Bruker Instruments, Inc. NMR hardware repair and Varian Inc. NMR hardware repair 2003.

Future Research

Improvement of high field high resolution NMR techniques including cryogenically cooled NMR probes, helium recycling, and high pressure NMR probes.

High field high resolution NMR techniques have a wide variety of applications in the drug industry and biotechnology.
