Expertise and Research Interests

Edward M. Weaver, MD, MPH, focuses his clinical efforts on the surgical care of sleep disordered breathing (snoring and sleep apnea) at the UW Sleep Disorders Center, where he is the Surgical Program Director. He also practices general otolaryngology at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System at American Lake and Seattle.

Dr. Weaver focuses his research efforts on clinical outcomes research in Otolaryngology, with a special interest in sleep apnea. He completed clinical outcomes research fellowship training in the UW Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program. He is an Associate Professor and the Director of Outcomes Research in Otolaryngology at the UW and VA, and he is the Associate Director of the UW Center for Cost & Outcomes Research.
