Expertise and Research Interests

Communication and Aging: Later-life marriages (couples that have been married for at least 50 years), exploring their narratives, life stories and communication dynamics. Also exploring later-life re-marriages and conflict in later-life marriages

At this point in time, I am interested in narratives and storytelling as a methodology that can provide a view of the relational reality.

I teach quantitative methods, family communiction, communication in personal relationship, conflict and communication, communication and aging, and quantitative methods.
