Expertise and Research Interests

My areas of research interests and expertise focus on the family. In particular, I study the role of family stressors (parental depression, parental illness, interparental conflict and divorce) in the psychosocial adjustment of children and adolescents. My research now focuses on the development of parenting programs to prevent adolescent high-risk behavior.
