Future ResearchAn Ongoing Research Interest: ENGAGED SCHOLARSHIP IN THE FIELD OF RHETORIC AND COMPOSITION A faculty improvement leave from BGSU provided the basis of ongoing exploration of (1) the nature of engaged research/scholarship and (2) the varieties of engaged research/scholarship published in the field of rhetoric and composition. Initial results of this ongoing study were presented at refereed conferences in 2008: *"Composition Scholarship and the Scholarship of Engagement," Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC). *"Scholarship of Engagement: New Name for Or Challenge to the Work of Rhetoric," Rhetoric Society of American (RSA).
