Expertise and Research Interests

My research interest focuses on vertebrate paleontology, especially studies on systematics, evolutionary history, paleobiogeography and stable isotopes applied to paleoclimate reconstructions. I have been working during the last three years on the systematics and paleobiogeography of fossil turtles from South America. I would like to continue solving questions about the phylogeny and paleobiogeography of this group and other South America vertebrates, and its potential utility in the reconstruction of tropical paleoclimate during Cenozoic time. I like to address these questions using statistical, mathematical and stable isotopes methods.
