Expertise and Research Interests

I have retired from active practice and research.
My prior research interests included the development and improvement of techniques for non-surgical opening of obstructed fallopian tubes, radiologic investigation of modes of growth and spread of renal malignancies, and the development of a hemodynamic perfusion and filtration system for delivering high dose chemotherapy to tumors of the liver without risk of systemic side effects.

Other Expertise

I wish to be contacted by interested students (medical, graduate or undergraduates) as a potential research mentor/thesis advisor.

Industrial Relevance

The catheter system for hemodynamic isolation of the liver in vivo during intraarterial chemotherapy infusion that I developed is currently under clinical trial. It is a proprietary system of Delcath, Inc.
