Future Research

Development of canola and white lupin for use as industrial crops. Using locally-produced feedstocks for manufacturing BIODIESEL.

Industrial Relevance

My current focus is on development of canola and white lupin as new crops in Virginia. Both these crops have industrial uses: canola as a source of bio-diesel and lupin as a source of alkaloids and as a green manure crop to reduce/eliminate use of nitrogen fertilizers in a sustainable crop production system.

I am currently conducting research with various oilseed crops to determine their suitabilities as feedstocks for manufacturing BIODIESEL.
