Expertise and Research Interests

My interests are the representation of complex visual scenes and images by the brain, and how those representations change with experience and memory. In order to understand processing of visual information, we record the neural activity of cells that respond selectively to images of objects and scenes, while tasks are performed with those objects. With the learning of visual tasks, the neural activity underlying the representation of visual information can change. Our goal is to understand the nature of these changes, and how the changes are implemented.
