QualificationsPh.D., Pennsylvania State University, Psychology, 1991. Expertise and Research InterestsMy research has examined the development of psychopathology across the adolescent decade; the impact of pubertal timing on psychosocial functioning during adolescence and beyond; and stress reactivity and psychosocial development in childhood and adolescence. I am also interested in the evaluation of school-based prevention programs targeting drug and alcohol use and the development of aggression and violence in middle school children. In particular, I am investigating the role of social skills and emotional regulation as mediators of pathways to aggression.
