Industrial Relevance

SMS is a well established technology which has widespread use around the globe, is quick, efficient and reliable. It can be used to access banking details, has been used for voting in the UK local elections in the Spring 2002. It is also being used for accessing local information services like traffic announcements, weather forecasts and has also been widely used and indeed is still being used in TV programs like Pop Idol, Big Brother, X-Factor, etc in the UK, to vote for people to stay in the show or be removed. It is also being used for selling tickets for major events like Live Aid in Scotland, and has great potential of being used in schools and conferences or company presentations.
