Expertise and Research InterestsI am a reference librarian who instructs students, faculty, and staff in the use of the library and in developing research skills. My areas of expertise are art history, literature, women's studies and online searching. I have strong abilities in business and most social science research strategies. Currently, I have responsibility for maintaining our local area network which I helped install. My interests are in document delivery, internet, and teaching online searching skills effectively to all levels of researchers. I would like to develop strategies and courses for undergraduates, over a four year period of increasingly sophisticated and complex research skills (from basic online catalogs, to CD-ROM, to online databases through DIALOG, to the internet). In addition, I would like to explore options for document delivery to Penrose Library through electronic means for those publications we do not own.My Cross-Departmental interests are: women's studies; art history; English literature; American literature.
