Qualifications

Dr.P.H., Columbia University, Epidemiology, 1983.
M.P.H., Northwestern University, Community Medicine, 1979.
M.S., Framingham State College, Nutrition, 1976.

Expertise and Research Interests

My primary research interests are in nutritional epidemiology, including the etiologic relationships between diet and cancer and implementation and evaluation of public health nutrition interventions. Current projects include studies on: (1) diet, dietary supplements and prostate cancer risk; (2) diet and neoplastic progression of Barrett's esophagus; (3) low-fat diet and breast cancer survival; and (4) dietary supplement use and cancer risk.
