Expertise and Research Interests

Clinical subspecialty in hematopathology;
Research areas: 1) the role of Flt3 mutations in acute myeloid leukemia; 2) using flow cytometry to diagnose myelodysplastic and myeloproliferative disorders, and non-hematopoietic neoplasms; and 3) chromosomal translocations at locus 11q23 involving the HRX/MLL gene.

Future Research

Elucidating the potential role of CD90 as a 'stem cell-associated' antigen in non-hematopoietic neoplasms.
