Expertise and Research Interests

My graduate school training and my first publications centered on medieval comparative literature, specifically Arabic and German. Since the late 70s my research interests have shifted to 20th century German literature, recently with a focus on contemporary feminist literature. Presently my major project deals with feminist responses to Chernobyl.
