Expertise and Research Interests

Multicenter trials of behavioral interventions, especially related to improving health prior to conception. Includes work on unrecognized pregnancy, ineffective birth control use, sexual abstinence, early pregnancy recognition, and substance use at conception and in early pregnancy. Epidemiology of sexually transmitted diseases and other infectious diseases.
