Expertise and Research Interests

I have provided leadership in my department for computer applications in physics instruction, including use of spreadsheets and mathematics packages (particularly Mathcad).

I initiated the "Denver University Physics Circus," in which hands-on and staged physics demonstrations are provided to pre-college audiences. I have also coordinated other outreach events, such as the Denver Metropolitan Science Fair and meetings of the Colorado-Wyoming Section of the American Association of Physics Teachers, and the 1997 Summer National AAPT Meeting.

My Cross-Departmental interests are: computer based multimedia, numerical models.

Future Research

Development of Mathcad templates for solution of the one-dimensional and radial Schroedinger equations for pedagogical applications
