- Development of Web forms utilizing Visual Studio.Net with ASP.Net, Visual Basic.Net, HTML, JavaScript and SQL.
- Teamed with publications and dissemination groups to redesign the web site for the nationally acclaimed Antihypertensive and Lipid-Lowering Treatment to Prevent Heart Attack Trial (ALLHAT) to facilitate the production of journal articles and the spread of clinical study results.
- Maintains a secure resources web site hosting web applications for conflict of interest, committee, and presentation reporting and manuscript status and revision processing.
- Statistical analysis and data management of clinical trials research projects utilizing Fortran, Stata, MS-Access and Visual Basic. Trials include ALLHAT, ETROP, SPOTRIAS, CARE.
- Management of our HP Alpha OpenVMS cluster with responsibility for system upgrades, license renewals, service contracts, data backup/restore, user accounts, HIPAA and other security issues.
- Installation and configuration of the current cluster consisting of two DS10 nodes, enabling the migration of all data and processes from the previous DEC OpenVMS cluster; required configuration of TCP/IP and coordination with the MS-Windows 2003 server network and Active Directory.
- Developed ISAM databases and produced numerous data monitoring and analysis reports for clinical trials HDFP, BHAT, SHEP, TAIM, CRYO-ROP, SAVE, ETROP, Light-RPO, CARE and ALLHAT using skills in Fortran, SAS, Stata and MS-Access with ODBC/SQL.
- Developed programs, documentation, and randomization procedures for enrolling patients into many of these clinical trials, the largest, ALLHAT, consisting of more than 600 remote clinical centers and more than 42,000 patients.
- Developed and implemented a process for documentation of programmer routines that automatically updates user help libraries and generates formatted copies for distribution.
- Developed many Alpha-based utilities using OpenVMS DCL including queued and networked printer enhancements.
- Enabled migration of data and processes from CDC mainframe to DEC minicomputers.
- Developed extensive data monitoring and editing processes for clinical trials HDFP and BHAT
