Future Research

- automated annotation of gene products and genomes
- inferring signaling networks from methylation microarray data

Industrial Relevance

- Proficient using tools such as: Javascript, Java, Oracle Pl/SQL and ProC, C++, PERL, Microsoft ASP, Visual Basic, Matlab.
- Developed a content-based retrieval database for medical images implemented in Java that accesses an Oracle database. The retrieval of the images was done using a newly developed fuzzy logic method.
- Developed a database for evaluating patients with cystic fibrosis implemented using a Netscape web server and an Oracle database;
- Involved in the development of the second version of the Rural Telemedicine Evaluation Project (RTEP) using Active Server Pages and an Oracle database.
- developed methods for automated Gene Ontology annotation of gene products.
- developed methods for methylation microarray analysis
