Expertise and Research Interests

My current research evaluates the epidemiology, pathogenesis and treatment of vulvodynia or vulvar dysesthesia. Particular interests include the role of the immune system in pathogenesis, racial differences in prevalence, systemic sensory processing among women with this disorder, and treatments for this disorder. I also have research interests in recurrent or chronic vaginitis.
