Expertise and Research Interests

I am interested in contemporary French fiction--on the one hand, Twentieth Century fiction; on the other hand highly contemporary literature, i.e. texts that are in the process of being written now. My interest has focused on French and Quebecois women writers whose fiction tend to be highly autobiographical. I am presently doing research on what has come to be called "auto-fiction" or (pseudo) imaginary autobiography. The authors I am interested in include Marguerite Duras; Marguerite Yourcenar; Nathalie Sarraute; Annie Ernaux; Albertine Sarrazin and a few more little known French women authors. My Cross-Departmental interests are: women's studies. My Foreign interests are: France, Quebec, Africa, West Indies, Francophone.
