Expertise and Research Interests

We are involved in investigating the pathogenesis of RNA viruses, specifically hepatitis C virus (HCV) but also HIV and GBV-C, using molecular sequence analysis. We are focused on studying the relationship between pathogen sequence variation and the host immune response. This work includes development and application of new methods for analyzing variation in viral sequences in longitudinal cohorts.
