Expertise and Research Interests

My research centers on the development of computational methods and algorithms for the accurate analysis of structure and function from medical images. I am interested in the problems of segmentation and registration including the use of probabilistic and geometric models for model-based optimization. I am also interested in the analysis of functional magnetic resonance images (fMRI) and diffusion weighted magnetic resonance (DW-MR) images. These techniques are currently being applied to the measurement and comparison of neuroanatomy and neurofunction.
