Expertise and Research Interests

My research interests are centered around modeling and simulation, especially the application to biomedical systems, software processes, and sustainability

Simulation tools of particular interest include Vensim, ARENA, Extend, ProModel, Netlogo, and Simulink

Current biomedical interests include the elevation of intracranial pressure following traumatic brain injury, and the autoimmune system response to massive infection

Software process simulation models can help managers to plan and manage software development project, and also to learn from projects after the fact

Sustainability projects include the management of coastal fisheries, especially the search for policies that can stablize the fisheries without catastropic economic impacts
